James L. Tolzman, 62, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully Jan. 30, 2015, at St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point, with his family at his side.
He was born Oct. 22, 1952, in Oconto Falls, the son of Albert W. and Mary Jean (Boettcher) Tolzman.
James was employed at Dick Meyer Company of Coloma. Mr. Tolzman enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting. He was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with his family.
James was a member of the North American Hunting Club, Whitetails Unlimited, Buck Masters, The North American Fishing Club and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Almond.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Jean Tolzman, of Gillett; daughters, Maxine (Mike) Gross, Mount Pleasant, and Heather (Chris) Worzalla, Wisconsin Rapids; seven granddaughters; siblings, Michael Tolzman, Ridgeland, Mississippi, Rosemary (Alvin) Swanson, Lakefield, Minnesota, Brenda Joy (Steve) Krueger, Bonduel, the Rev. Brion Tolzman, Walthill, Nebraska, Scott (Denise) Tolzman, Dodgeville, Kevin Tolzman, Sheboygan, Jeffrey (Joy) Tolzman, Gillett. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends, Mark Rettler, Dick Meyer, Ron and Linda Natzke, Richard and Linda Rademann, and Darryl and Jan Ruege.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Tolzman, and two sisters-in-law, Dee and Michelle Tolzman.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Almond. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will also be on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
