Proceedings of Oct. 29 • David Lawrence Vanness, 58, Luxemburg, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited blood-alcohol content (sixth offense), in connection with a crash that occurred Sept. 30, 2023. Judge Michael Judge gave him credit for 65 days already served in the county jail and also revoked his driver’s license for 36 months. • A bench warrant was issued for Jenny L. Tennant, 45, Manawa, after she failed to appear for sentencing after pleading no contest to misappropriating ID information and misdemeanor counts of possessing an illegal obtained prescription and prostitution, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 6, 2023. • A Jan. 23-24 jury trial was scheduled for Andrew E. Mahers, 37, a Pound man serving a sentence at Stanley Correctional Institution, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, two counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC, possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 30. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Jan. 2. • Brady Lee Boucher, 30, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 28. He was awaiting sentencing after pleading no contest in another case to possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of possession of amphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 25. Judge scheduled a status conference for Jan. 16. • Gary E. Borkovec, 48, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 29. He also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC, possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin, possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 27, 2023. Judge scheduled a status conference for Jan. 16. Proceedings of Oct. 28 • Brody J. Tappa, 38, Oconto, pleaded no contest to victim intimidation and two misdemeanor counts of battery in connection with an incident that occurred July 1, 2020, canceling a jury trial scheduled for Oct. 30-31. Judge withheld sentencing and placed Tappa on four years of probation with conditions. • Douglas James Van Boxtel, 60, Oconto, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 6. Judge scheduled sentencing for Dec. 20 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation. • Anthony R. Mork, 34, Suring, pleaded no contest to conspiracy manufacture with intent to deliver methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 1, 2023. A number of other charges were dismissed but read into the record. Judge scheduled sentencing for Dec. 20 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation. • An Oct. 30-31 jury trial was rescheduled to Dec. 4-6 for David SanRoman, 48, Oconto, who is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 31, 2018, and first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 12, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 1, 2018. Judge reviewed options with SanRoman in the wake of his defense attorney’s withdrawal and scheduled a status conference for Nov. 8. • Cale Donald Agamaite, 18, Ripon, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, operating while revoked, possession of THC and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 28. Judge scheduled a status conference for Jan. 15.
