Tigerton volleyball team beats league leader

Oct. 10 Tigerton 3, Northland Lutheran 1 Tigerton hosted and defeated Central Wisconsin Conference-North leading Northland Lutheran 3-1 with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 16-25 and 25-22. “It was a very exciting match from start to finish,” said coach Holly Meverden. “The crowd was into every play and cheered us on the entire evening.” Jade Selle led the Tigers with 31 digs, followed by Sienna Breaker with 30, Aaliyah Lederhaus and Angel Welch with 23 each, Danika Tiller with 16, Lillian Welch with 14 and Presley Stewart-Rolfs with 11. Tiller had 10 assists, and Breaker tallied six. Stewart-Rolfs and Lederhaus each had nine kills. Selle led Tigerton with 14 service points with two aces, while Tiller recorded 12 points with two aces, and Lederhaus had 10 points with four aces. Tigerton is 8-9 overall and 4-5 in the CWC. Suring 3, Crivitz 0 Suring topped Crivitz in three straight sets on scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-23. Suring improved to 5-5 in the Marinette & Oconto Conference, while Crivitz dropped to 10-3.
