Convicted sex offender Douglas A. Mauritz, 50, will be moving to N2901 Split Rock Road, Tigerton, according to information from law enforcement officials.
Mauritz was convicted on Aug. 24, 2015, of repeated acts of sexual assault against the same child (at least three violations of first or second degree sexual assault) and sexual assault of a child, both class C felonies. Both cases were in Shawano County.
He was sentenced 10 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
Several other charges in this case were read in to the record. A “read in” charge is a charge that is dismissed as part of a plea agreement. However, the defendant agrees to have the court consider the charges when sentencing for another crime, and the defendant cannot be prosecuted for these charges in the future.
Mauritz is required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life and is required to comply with GPS tracking.
