Republican candidate for Secretary of State Cindy Werner appears to have illegally used a man still serving a felony sentence to gather nomination signatures, according to an investigation by The Badger Project using court records and her nomination papers filed with the state.

Another of College of Menominee Nation’s high school cohorts will display their theatrical talents this summer. Titled “Showcase,” the short scenes taken from full-length shows will collectively offer students in the theater production course an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in cast and crew roles.

The collaboration enables Unity and Meadowbrook to meet the growing demand for hospice care delivery.

The Friends of the Mountain-Bay State Trail – Shawano County will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the trail with a series of special events throughout 2026 highlighting the trail’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, outdoor recreation opportunities and community connections.

As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Mountain-Bay State Trail, area residents and visitors are invited to experience a series of guided nature bathing along the trail walks led by outdoor enthusiast Nikole Koszarek.

Community members are invited to explore the healing plants growing along the Mountain-Bay State Trail during a Native American Plant Medicines Walk led by author and herbal educator Misty Cook from 6-7 p.m. June 30. A rain date is scheduled for July 1.
