Neopit, Shawano score 34 runs in BABA matchup

East/West Division June 29 Neopit 18, Shawano 16 The Chiefs and Lakers combined for 34 runs, with Neopit getting the win. Mequon Frechette led Neopit with five hits and four RBIs, and Wendell Waukau added three hits. Arkin Verhein had four hits to lead the Lakers at the plate, while Noah Jones and Garritt Kadonsky added two each. Jamison Beasaw picked up the win, and Verhein took the loss. Marion 10, Menominee 9 Nick Schoen had three hits, including two doubles, to help lead the Meisters to a win over the Indians. Hayden Miller and Blake Weatherwax added two hits for Marion, and Joe Weyenberg picked up the win on the mound. Mitch Vanderwall and Jordan Johnson led Menominee with three hits each. Jared Cartwright had two of Caroline’s six hits, while Ryan Malueg had three of the Bulldogs’ 10 hits. Nate Laude added two hits for Leopolis. Justin Reminger picked up the win and Anderson Schmidt took the loss. North Division June 29 Elderon 7, Aniwa 2 Kaleb Schulist went the distance on the mound for the WhiskeyJacks in a win over the Orioles. Justin Meronk led Elderon with three hits, including a home run, while Ian Zeinert added two hits and also had a homer. Ryan Govek had a double for Aniwa. Kody Szews took the loss for the Orioles. Eland 11, Hatley 4 The Engineers picked up a road win over the Braves. Ryan Richter had three hits, including two doubles, to lead Eland at the plate. Peyton Flees, Jarod Richter, Jacob Ligenza and Joe Buss added two hits apiece as the Engineers had 13 hits in the game. Hayden Davidowski had three of Hatley’s eight hits. Tyler Nelson picked up the win on the mound, and Braxton Olson took the loss. Birnamwood 13, Antigo/Polar 9 Winning pitcher Logan Thiex led the Kings with four hits, while Connor Meverden hit a home run and added two hits. Mike Prebiski homered and had three of Antigo/Polar’s 12 hits, while Ben Robrecht, Will Kubeny and AJ Kirsch added two hits each. Reed Kuenzli took the loss on the mound. South-Central Division June 29 New London 6, Plover 0 (6 inn.) Ethan Hertzfeldt held Plover to two hits in a six-inning game shortened by rain. Andrew Parker led the Irish with three hits, while Hertzfeldt, Dylan Moeller and Tyler Gerrits added two each. Kaden Thauer and Josh Marcione had a hit for Plover and Zack Hintz took the loss. June 27 Scandinavia, 22, Weymont 1 The Vikings had no problems knocking off the White Bass in Weyauwega. Braden Hunkins had a big night at the plate for Scandinavia with a pair of home runs and six RBIs. Ben Lee added three hits and five RBIs and scored twice, while Landon Moe had a pair of hits and scored three runs. Tyler Wetzel drove in Weymont’s run and had a hit, along with teammates Luke Schwenn and Kolden Baehman. Cyle Zblewski picked up the win, and Schwenn took the loss.
