Oconto Falls junior Tyler Hagemeier scored 20 points to lead the Panthers to their second Bay Conference win of the season Thursday against visiting Marinette.
Oconto Falls (5-17, 2-14 Bay Conference) sealed the victory by outscoring Marinette 22-16 in the final frame. Senior Michael Fifield scored 12 points, including two dunks in the waning moments of the game.
Madison Semrau scored 13 points and Matt Richmond added 10 for Marinette (3-19, 1-15 Bay Conference).

The Tigers worked overtime Thursday to defeat visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Academy.
Gillett trailed 18-5 after one quarter but steadily chipped away until tying the game at 32. The teams were deadlocked 43-43 at the end of regulation.
Senior Daniel Torres scored 18 points and Adam Werner added 11 for Gillett (8-14, 6-10 Marinette & Oconto Conference)
Varun Vasant scored 26 for STAA (11-11, 6-10 M&O).

Freshman Taylor Yonker nailed five 3-pointers and scored 20 points to propel the home team to its first-round win Friday in WIAA Division 5 regional play.
The Tigers rattled off 17 straight points in the first half.
Sophomore 6-0 forward Victoria Loberger added 14 points for Gillett (17-7, 13-3 Marinette & Oconto Conference) and senior Taylor Kohls pitched in 10.
Sydney Jensen led Gresham (6-18, 1-17 Central Wisconsin Conference-10) with seven points.

Suring 46
Suring was unable to overcome Keifer Zimmerman’s 29 points in a WIAA Division 5 regional loss Friday.
Senior Mackenzi LaMarre scored 15 points for Suring (10-14, 8-8 Marinette & Oconto Conference).
NEW Lutheran (10-14, 4-10 Packerland Conference) also received 12 points from Morgan Meerstein.

Oconto Falls’ season came to a quick end in the first round of the WIAA Division 3 regionals Feb. 24 at Clintonville.
The Panthers were held to six first-half points and were shut out 10-0 by Clintonville (10-13, 8-8 Eastern Valley Conference) in the second quarter to fall behind 15-6.
Clintonville junior Autumn Voigt led the game in scoring, with 17 points, blocks (five), rebounds (nine) and steals (five).
Senior Elizabeth Manns led Oconto Falls (9-14, 7-9 Bay Conference) with eight points. Sophomore Jennifer Krueger and senior Kayla Virtues each had seven boards.

Suring junior Az VanBellinger scored a game-high 13 points in the WIAA Division 5 regional game Feb. 24 at Suring. VanBellinger scored 11 of the Eagles’ 25 first-half points as they built a 25-19 halftime advantage.
Senior Breanna Tienor picked up where VanBellinger left off, scoring all of her eight points in the second half.
Mackenzi LaMarre drilled three 3-point shots to end the game with nine points for Suring (10-13, 8-8 Marinette & Oconto Conference).
Christina Jagiello led Lena (3-19, 2-14 Marinette & Oconto Conference) with 11 points, all coming from the free-throw line, where she went 11 of 16.
