Beverly A. Schmidt

Beverly Ann Schmidt, 88, died peacefully at Country Villa in Little Chute on Friday, May 22, 2026.

She was born Feb. 11, 1938, the daughter of Albert Henry Wild and Christine Rose (Zimmerman) Wild in Antigo. Bev graduated from Antigo High School in 1956 and then attended Langlade County Normal School.

On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Elmer Lawrence Schmidt at St. Mary’s Church in Antigo. They resided in Combined Locks until 1965, then owned a 40-acre farm on Route 2 in Appleton until 1969. In 1970, they purchased a 240-acre dairy in Bonduel, where they farmed for 28 years.

Bev was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, baking, picking berries and spending time outdoors. Bev and Elmer retired to homes in Sherwood and Luxemburg before moving to Country Villa in 2022.

Bev will be missed by those who survive her, including children, Janice (Greg) Ahlstrom, Eagan, Minnesota, Mary Weisnicht, Seymour, Kevin Schmidt, Antigo, Keith Schmidt, Antigo, and Lisa Schmidt (Craig Perry), Neenah; her 15 grandchildren, Hans, Erik, Tucker, Daniel, Cody, Jacob, Abigail, Elizabeth, Sarah, Nora, Samuel, Ruth, Melissa, Dylan and Emily; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Visitation will be held at St. John from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10 a.m.

Following Mass, lunch will be served at the church. The burial will take place following lunch at the Holy Spirit Parish Cemetery in Kimberly.
