Cantata tradition returns to Gillett
For the first time in three years, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett is ready to present an Easter cantata. “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” written, arranged and orchestrated by Bradley Knight, is a 45-minute performance that includes many well-known Easter melodies and also some contemporary songs. A cantata is a narrative piece of music for voices with instrumental accompaniment.
Prevea to give tips on parenting via Zoom

Lakes Country library plans fundraiser for expansion

Pathfinders to hold rummage sale April 3
The Lena Pathfinders have scheduled their 28th annual rummage sale for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. April 3 at the American Legion Hall, 412 E. Main Street, Lena. This sale provides funds for the Lena Seventh-day Adventist young people to enjoy club activities such as camping trips and purchasing supplies used towards completing over 480 honor badges. Along with the club activities, the youth are also involved in community service.
