The Red Raiders grabbed a first-half goal and hung on to beat the Terrors 1-0 in a nonconference matchup.

Pulaski got the goal in the 22nd minute when Daenen Kehoe finished a 1-on-1 breakaway tucking the shot into the corner past the goalie. Henry Gumina had the assist.

That’s exactly what the Panthers did in their North Eastern Conference opener, as they headed to Waupaca on Sept. 10 and returned home following a three-set sweep over the Comets.

Oconto Falls opened the match with 25-11 and 25-13 wins and completed the sweep with a 25-18 victory.

Thursday, Sept. 10

Gresham 3, Tigerton 0

Tigerton traveled to CWC North foe Gresham for a tough battle on the court, losing 3-0.

“The scores of the sets did not resemble how closely fought these sets were overall,” said coach Holly Meverden. “Gresham has many weapons this season, and my congratulations go out to them.”

Set scores were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-18.

Oconto Falls Triangular

The Panthers scored a 238 and finished third at a North Eastern Conference gathering at River Island Golf Course. Denmark won with 189, and Marinette was second with 197.

Scoring for Oconto Falls were Lilly Wagner 53, Riley Borkovec 56, Emilie Sanders 62 and Jadyn Saari 67.

FRCC Mini-Meet #4

Wittenberg-Birnamwood swimmers topped Marinette 79-76 on Sept. 10 for their second home win of the season while improving their conference record to 2-0.
