Abortion stance is reason Democrats performed poorly

To the editor, I feel that I should respond to Peter Cameron’s article from Nov 22. I feel that the reason that the Democrats did so poorly is because they were on the wrong side of the abortion issue.
SAW’s night meetings starting out slow
To the editor, After two nighttime meetings, the Shawano Area Writers have not seen much interest in these events. But it’s not totally bad news. Only one person has come to the two night meetings, and this person has a lot of potential as a writer. To the editor: I am completely unknown to probably about 99.9% of you. I am a 78-year-old white woman (about to be 79) who has written no books. Nor ever been interviewed by anyone. Presently, 90% of children living in the United States go to public schools.
Amendment to require citizenship proof to vote
To the editor: America has been referred to as “the world’s greatest democracy.” In recent years, however, there has been an undermining in the confidence in American democracy. Donald Trump didn’t invent the Republican tactic of using racial and religious bigotry to win elections.
Dissing America’s veterans disqualification for office
To the editor: I am a 70-year-old U.S. Navy submarine veteran who proudly served during the Vietnam War. Normally, I stay away from politics because I’ve seen that too often it serves to divide people instead of bringing them together.
