The Suring Area Historical Society will hold a Farmer/Lumberjack Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Red Maple Country Club to recognize the family-owned centennial farms and old farms in Suring and the surrounding area.
Organizers are looking for information and history of farms in the area and would appreciate hearing from local families about their farms. Historical information may be sent to Helen Heimerl, 13471 Hayes Road, Suring, WI 54174. Pictures, both past and present, also are welcome.
The Farmer/Lumberjack Breakfast will include pancakes served with real Wisconsin maple syrup and butter, scrambled eggs, either plain or with mixed veggies and cheese, hash browns, turkey links, sausage links, bacon, cheese curds, orange and apple juice, coffee and milk, donut holes and danishes.
Tickets are $12 and are available from SAHS members or at Family Dollar in Suring, Wichman’s BP or Suring Auto. Children 6 years old and younger eat for free.
Bucket raffles, meat raffles and 50/50 raffles (three drawings) will be held. Everyone is invited.
