A day of learning will be presented Oct. 30 at Hillside Assembly of God, Gillett, by Home & Community Education (HCE) and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
Program topics include the following: Assemble Bluebird Nesting Boxes, Fall Flower Arranging, Harvesting and Preserving Herbs, Cooking Under Pressure, Mining in Wisconsin, Life’s Journey: Putting Affairs in Order, How to Prevent and Treat Arthritis, Learn how MRSA-resistant Staph Spreads and Prevention, Wellness in Motion: Exercise Great for All Age Levels, Pests in the Garden, Berries Grown in Containers, Native Pollinator Habitat for Yards and Gardens, Re-Purpose It: Making Recyclables into Something, The Packer Story: History from 1919 to Today, and Fur, Feathers and Fins: Care, Management and Selection of a Future Companion Animal.
The day will begin with registration and a light snack at 8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome and announcements. The keynote address will be given at 9:30 a.m. by Margaret Wood, curator of the Peshtigo Fire Museum.
Session I will be held from 10:45 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch. Session II begins at 12:45 p.m., and Session III at 2 p.m.
