People who can’t get enough of Peeps are invited to create a diorama featuring the omnipresent Easter candy.
The Gillett Public Library is staging a Peeps diorama contest in advance of an April 18 Easter egg hunt at the library.
“Voting starts the 14th through the 17th, and then on Friday, April 18, on Good Friday, we are having an Easter egg hunt and we’ll announce the winner,” library director Shannon Stoner told the Gillett City Council on April 3.
The diorama must illustrate a book, a movie or a Gillett location, and the winner will receive an appropriate prize, Stoner said.
“I picked up a big gigantic, huge Peep from Walmart, and I got a couple books and activity books and little Peep candies,” she said.
The event is scheduled for 10:30-11:30 a.m. April 18 at the library, 200 N. Main St., Gillett.
