Patza advances to regional spelling bee

Gillett Middle School students in grades five through eight participated in the local Scripps spelling bee. The top three spellers from each grade participated in the districtwide spelling bee Thursday in the Meunier/Pelow Auditorium. The top two spellers were sixth-grader Aidan Patza and fifth-grader Dylan Block. Patza will represent Gillett at the CESA 8 regional bee on Feb. 11 in Peshtigo. Don Olderman and Tami McQuillan organized and proctored the event.
