Proceedings of Sept. 6 • Jessica J. Baxter, 27, Marinette, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred June 9, 2021; felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred May 22, 2022; and another count of felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred April 6. Judge Michael Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 11 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation. • A Nov. 19 jury trial was scheduled for Bruce D. Taylor, 31, Oconto, who is charged with fleeing an officer in his vehicle, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 4. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Nov. 4. Proceedings of Sept. 5 • Christopher Allen Gulledge, 36, Oconto, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 25. Judge scheduled sentencing for Sept. 30. • Ryan Richard Delbene, 38, Lakewood, pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of THC and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 3. The three misdemeanor counts replaced a single felony count in a plea agreement. Judge Jay Conley scheduled sentencing for Sept. 30. Proceedings of Sept. 4 • Kaz R. Howard, 22, Aniwa, was ruled incompetent to proceed but likely to become competent with treatment. He faces charges of first-degree child sexual assault of a child younger than 13, two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child, two counts of exposing himself to a child, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred in 2023 and 2024. Conley scheduled a status conference for Dec. 12. Proceedings of Sept. 3 • Logan Michael Bishop, 29, Oconto, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, after being convicted of stalking and a misdemeanor count of violating a domestic abuse injunction, March 8. Judge allowed credit for 179 days already served in county jail. At a July 31 trial, the jury deliberated for 23 minutes before delivering guilty verdicts on both charges. • Douglas Arnold Brown, 63, Oconto, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 5. Judge revoked Brown’s bail and remanded him to the county jail to await sentencing, which he scheduled for Nov. 4. • Judge denied a motion to dismiss charges against Brian A. Blasing, 33, an Oconto man serving a prison sentence at Dodge Correctional Institution after being convicted in Marinette County of first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs in the death of Terry Westphal. Blasing is charged in Oconto County with first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs and manufacture with intent to deliver heroin in the Sept. 12, 2018, death of Jeffrey Dean Pecha, as well as possession of amphetamine with intent to deliver, misdemeanor possession of cocaine, and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 29, 2019. Since Blasing currently does not have an attorney, Judge postponed a jury trial scheduled for Nov. 19-22 and scheduled a status conference for Dec. 12.
