Donald Robert Birr, 94, Oconto Falls, passed away at home on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. He was born on Feb. 27, 1930, in Green Bay. On Aug. 31, 1957, Donald married Helen Tajak at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Sobieski. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Donald worked at the Post Office in Oconto Falls for 30 years, from 1960-90. Donald and Helen also operated a farm in the Town of Morgan.

Nicolas Anthony Rydell, age 43, of Madison, passed away on Sept. 23, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1981, in Shawano, the son of Ann Rydell and Ted Rydell. He grew up in Shawano next to Forest Haven Park. Nick graduated from Shawano High School in 1999. He went on to earn degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Minnesota Law School.

Randy David Kratz passed away unexpectedly Oct. 2, 2024. Randy was born June 9, 1959, to Norman and Beverly Kratz (Everard). Randy graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1977. He proudly joined the Army from 1977-82, where he was honorably discharged as a sergeant. After returning to Oconto Falls, he started a family where he had Michael and Christopher.

Anton (Tony) William Boehm, 60, of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away from glioblastoma on Sept. 20, 2024, at The Pillars Hospice, Oakdale, Minnesota. A 1982 graduate of Shawano High School, he was elected sophomore class president and went on to take classes at the University of Wisconsin.

Alfonso L. Zaddack, 84, of Shawano, passed away on Sept. 26, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Alfonso was born June 3, 1940, in Shawano, the son of the late Alfred and Alice (Buettner) Zaddack. He attended Gresham High School and graduated with the class of 1959. Following high school, Alfonso farmed the family homestead with his father, Alfred. On Aug. 4, 1962, he was united in marriage to the former Jean Johnson at St.

Betty Ruth Walker, 93, of Birnamwood, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Eastview Nursing Home in Antigo. Betty was born on Oct. 19, 1930, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Rudolph and Adeline (Falaas) Fischer. Betty married Peter Frank Ridosko in 1951. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1977. Later in life, she married Thomas Ray Walker, who also preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2003. Betty raised three children on her own.
