James “J.D.” Hagen, 64, of Clintonville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022. Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville.
Anton Kriescher
Anton “Tony” Kriescher, 76, Oconto Falls, was called home Wednesday evening, Sept. 7, 2022, at his residence following a 2½-year battle with pancreatic cancer with his family present. The oldest of six children was born Aug. 20, 1946, to Anton and Cecelia (VanDerven) Kriescher Sr. in Marinette County. Tony grew up in the Lena area, where he graduated high school with the class of 1964.
Carol Mae Subotnik-Hermann-Osgood
Carol Mae Subotnik-Hermann-Osgood, 85, died Thursday evening, Sept. 8, 2022, at home with family present. She was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 26, 1937, to Steven A. Subotnik and Lucille E. Greenwood Subotnik. Carol spent her youth in the cities of Big Bend, Muskego and Mukwonago and attended Mukwonago High School. On June 30, 1956, she married John E. Hermann.
Mayford D. Mengert
Mayford D. Mengert, 92, of the Town of Grant, passed away late Monday night, Sept. 5, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Mayford DuWane Mengert was born Jan. 23, 1930, near Manawa, son to the late Otto W. and Laura N. (Buchholz) Mengert. He worked on the family dairy farm as a kid and later graduated from Manawa High School. Mayford worked for Walnut Grove Feed Sales for a time as a salesman. He was united in marriage to Mary L.
James David Fast aka ‘Fast Eddie’
James D. “Eddie” Fast died unexpectedly in his Elizabethtown, Kentucky, home on June 22, 2022. He was born on Oct. 19, 1960, in Neenah to Lois (Whiting) Poe and the late John (Jack) Fast. Jim grew up in Appleton and later Wausau, where he joined the U.S. Army in 1977 and served three years as an infantryman at Fort Carson, Colorado, and Fort Greely, Alaska.

Mayford D. Mengert, 92, of the Town of Grant, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at his home. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Marion.
Magdaline Kobes
Magdaline “Manny” Kobes, 95, of Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022. Manny was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Lena to the late Paul and Josephine (Matuzeski) Kramer. She attended Birch Grove Grade School (one room) and Lena High School, graduating in 1944. Following graduation, she moved to Milwaukee to work at a defense company.
