ThedaCare hosting clinics in October, November
ThedaCare will host a series of immunization and vaccination clinics throughout various communities in northeast and central Wisconsin. Individuals can receive any needed vaccines for themselves or their family members. This includes flu, COVID-19, RSV and pneumonia, as well as needed child or adult routine vaccines. Through November, the mobile team will travel to ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano from 3-7 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m.
Marcia M. (Reinke) Malueg-Card
Marcia Mae (Reinke) Malueg-Card passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. Born on Dec. 7, 1948, she was a proud mother of four children. She enjoyed the sounds of birds singing, flowers, reading, polka music and spending time with her family. A private service will be held for immediate family only.
Roberta 'Bobbi' Stickney
Roberta “Bobbi” Cecelia Stickney, 79, of Clintonville, passed away Sept. 23, 2024. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.
Myrtle Jeske
Myrtle Marie Jeske, 85, of Milwaukee, went home to her heavenly Father on Sept. 17, 2024. Myrtle grew up in Suring in a loving home where she learned that playing was much more fun than doing household chores. She told her mother, Marie Jeske, at an early age that one day she would be a teacher.
Archie Russell
Archie Albert Russell, 89, of Lake Alfred, Florida, passed away on Sept. 11, 2024. He was born in the Town of Red Springs on Jan. 8, 1935, to the late Arthur and Josephine (Schreiber) Russell. Archie served in the Air Force with time served in Korea.
Gresham/Bowler soccer team still looking for conference win
Sept. 23 Columbus Catholic 8, Gresham/Bowler 0 Gresham/Bowler remains winless in the Central Wisconsin Conference after a 8-0 shutout against Columbus Catholic. Columbus Catholic improved to 5-1 in conference play, while Gresham/Bowler dropped to 0-6 (1-8 overall).
Eagles volleyball team evens record
Sept. 23 Menominee Nation 3, Pembine/Goodman 0 Menominee Nation upped their overall record to an even 5-5 after a 3-0 non-conference home win over Pembine/Goodman.
Golfers play in middle of the pack
Sept. 23 Notre Dame Triton Invitational Shawano and Pulaski’s golf teams found themselves in the middle of the pack of a 23-team invite at Oneida Golf and Country Club. The Hawks placed 11th with a 394, while the Red Raiders finished 14th with a 426. Kaukauna won the meet with a 328. Shawano was led by Sophia Eggert at 84. She was joined by Grace Pensis at 100, Maci Heagle at 102 and Delanie Kunze at 103.
