H. William Kriegel Jr.

H. William “Bill” Kriegel Jr., 63, of Tigerton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Harvey William Kriegel Jr. was born March 28, 1950, at the Clintonville Hospital to Harvey “Joe” and Virginia (Morris) Kriegel Sr. Bill was raised in Tigerton and graduated from Tigerton High School in 1968. He went on to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, earning a major in both political science and history.
Horst P. Ellwart Jr.
Horst P. Ellwart Jr., 48, of Bowler, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Weston Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Horst P. Ellwart Sr. and Michele (DePlanche) McCallister. He was born in Menomonee Falls and raised in Milwaukee. Horst was a chef all his life and enjoyed fishing, throwing darts and spending time with his family.

Lillian V. Korth, 90, of Embarrass, formerly of the Angelus Retirement Community in Clintonville, passed into heaven Sunday afternoon, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass. Lillian was born on June 20, 1923, in the town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, as the daughter of the late Emil and Johanna (Michel) Menge. She graduated from Tigerton High School in 1940 and was later united in marriage to Arwerd Korth on Jan.
Karla M. Criscione
Karla Mae Criscione, 49, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at a local nursing home. Born on Aug. 16, 1963, in Shawano, she was the daughter of Audrey (Schreiber) Criscione and the late Sylvester Criscione. Karla was a member of the Red River Riders and the Packer Jets Bowling Team. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith.
Yarie logs Modified, Australian Pursuit wins
The first Saturday of August proved to be a beautiful night for racing at the Shawano Speedway. The IMCA Modified was the first of five feature races. John Peters used a front row starting spot to his advantage to jump out to the early lead. Peters led the way for several laps as Eric Scribner, Marcus Yarie, Jason Czarapata and Jared Siefert battled behind him.
Elder R. Koeller
Elder Robert Koeller, 87, was called home to glory on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by his family. Elder was born Oct. 6, 1927, to Arnold and Martha (Schwenke) Koeller in the town of Larabee in Waupaca County. He was baptized into his heavenly family on Oct. 30, 1927. Elder was raised on the family farm in rural Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School.
