The Clintonville Common Council recently approved continuing a fundraising campaign for a dog park in the city. The council voted 5-2 in April to support development of a dog park, but the motion failed because six votes of the 10-member council were needed for it to pass.

The Clintonville Common Council will hold a special meeting Monday that will include discussion of a complaint filed against Mayor Judith Magee. The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 50 10th St.

Well, it’s that time of year again. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set to invade the Shawano Speedway for the sixth consecutive year. Billy Moyer, a true legend of dirt late model racing, blew away the competition in 2010 with a clean sweep of the night’s events. Moyer set the fast time at 19.63 seconds on the historic half mile, while going on to also win his heat race and leading all 50 laps of the feature event.
