Linda I. Bohm, 93, of the town of Richmond, passed away on Monday afternoon, Aug. 10, 2015, at Kindred Hearts in Shawano. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church.

Galen R. Case, 64, of Cecil, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the Appleton Medical Center, where he had been a patient for the past six days. Galen was born on Jan. 3, 1951, in Oshkosh, a son of Geraldine L. Case and the late Carlton F. Case. He attended school in Oshkosh and Shawano, and later graduated from Gillett High School. Following school he was employed at the feed mill in the town of Green Valley.

Virginia G. Doxtator, 69, of Gresham, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, in Green Bay. Virginia was born on Feb. 22, 1946, in Oneida. On March 10, 1968, Virginia was united in marriage to Johnny F. Doxtator, who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2015. They lived in Chicago for many years before returning to Gresham in 1988.

Delores M. Wruck, 84, formerly of Wausau, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Cloverleaf Terrace, Birnamwood. She was born April 11, 1931, in Bowler to the late Walter and Alma (Bierman) Baker. On Jan. 21, 1950, she married Raymond Wruck at St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano. In her earlier years, Delores had worked at Wausau Hospital in the housekeeping department.

This fall, Shawano Community High School will face four new members of the Bay Conference. As part of the 76-school, eight-conference realignment across the state approved last year by the WIAA, Green Bay East and Green Bay West join the Bay Conference from the Fox River Classic Conference, and Xavier and Waupaca move from the Eastern Valley Conference to the Bay. Waupaca will join the Bay for football but remain in the North Eastern Conference,

Shawano Community High School hired Dave Ambrosius as its new boys basketball head coach, SCHS activities director Charmaine Schreiber confirmed this week. Ambrosius served as an assistant coach for the Hawks last season. He will replace Chris Kellett, who went 35-15 in his two seasons with the Hawks before announcing his decision to leave in June. Kellett took a second-grade teaching job in the Neenah School District and will continue coaching a

Rain on Friday made for a wild Saturday at Shawano Speedway. A very fast track was hard on cars and drivers, and track workers used an intermission grading session to try to keep the racing surface smooth. Dustin Loberger came out on top over his nephew in a wild finish in the IMCA Stock Car ranks.
