‘Rock N Roll Jukebox’ coming to Mielke

Daddy D Productions will make its first visit to the Mielke Arts Center in Shawano next month when it presents “Rock N Roll Jukebox.” Sponsored by the Shawano County Arts Council, the performance begins at 7 p.m. March 18 at the arts center, N5649 Airport Road. The show features comedy skits and music of the 1950s and 1960s. Daddy D’s cast include vocalists Shelly Emmer, Ben Cahall, Maria Sausen and Darren Johnson.
Junior Achievement reaching out to small businesses
Junior Achievement of the Wolf River District’s small business campaign is receiving strong support, according to organizers. 3 area schools register for voucher program
Three area private schools have registered to enroll taxpayer-funded voucher students during the 2016-17 school year. Cinda “Cindi” Engebretson, 61, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. Cindi was born on May 2, 1954, daughter of the late James Engebretson and Patricia (Colligan) Engebretson. Cindi was a proud employee of the Clintonville School District for 28 years.

Free help available to file taxes electronically
Shawano Community Education is offering free classes at Shawano Community Middle School to help area residents file their taxes electronically. MyFreeTaxes provides free federal and state tax preparation and filing assistance online to individuals and families with household incomes of $62,000 or less in 2015. Local VITA tax volunteers will help participants prepare and file their returns through the MyFreeTaxes process in the SCMS computer lab.
