When school’s out for the summer, parents can take advantage of the breather to schedule the children for early sports physicals, according to a ThedaCare pediatrician.
Four Lena High School students were recognized at the annual school awards ceremony for signing college letters of intent to play sports at their respective universities in the fall. Several Shawano Community High School students were named to Bay Conference all-conference teams, including tennis and track athletes with first-team awards.

Gerald J. Bardouche, 94, of Little Suamico, passed away peacefully May 21, 2026, with loved ones at his side.
Gerald was born July 20, 1931, to Joseph and Dorothy (nee Saunders) in Green Bay. On Aug. 29, 1959, he married the love of his life, Eileen Davis, at the United Methodist Church in Suring.
