Ervin H. Bleck

Ervin H. “Bud” Bleck, 96 , of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at a local nursing home. Born on April 6, 1917, in Clintonville, he was the son of the late Edwin H. and Lily (Hoffman) Bleck. Bud was raised in the Clintonville area. On May 13, 1941, he enlisted with the United States Army to serve his country during World War II. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant in December 1944. On Oct. 17, 1947, he was united in marriage to Doris Krueger in Caroline. Bud owned a sheet metal and heating business in Milwaukee until moving to the Shawano area, where he joined the union and continued to do sheet metal work until retiring. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Bud is survived by his two daughters, Marcia Bleck, of Tigerton, and Karen Kunze, of Shawano; and four grandchildren, Laurie Kunze, Keith (significant other, Kristi) Kunze, Kadu Kunze, Natineal Kunze. Bud was “nice grandpa” to two great-grandchildren, Parker and Delanie Kunze, and is further survived by a sister, Dorothy Schoenick, of Clintonville. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Doris on March 13, 2010; his parents; two sisters, Nora and Velda; and a brother, Eric. Private family services will be held.
