Lester A. Anderson

Lester A. Anderson, 78, passed away Oct. 19, 2013, in Livingston, Mont., after suffering a stroke. He was born in Port Wing on May 24, 1935, to Edward and Dorothy (Carlson) Anderson. He graduated from Rudolph High School in 1953. The family then moved to Pittsville. Les married Virginia Kleitgen, of Pittsville, on April 11, 1956. They moved to Shawano in 1958. He worked in the dairy industry for Badger Breeders. In 1985 Les and Ginny moved to Florida, where he worked a number of years before joining Accelerated Genetics. He worked in the dairy industry for over 50 years. For the last five years they had become “snowbirds,” living in a fifth-wheel trailer, wintering in Florida and spending summers in Montana, and both enjoying their new way of life. Lester is survived by his wife, Ginny; son, Dale, of Belgrade, Mont; daughter, Jodi (Jeff) Danley, of Sebring, Fla.; grandsons, Zach Anderson, of Minocqua, J.J. Danley, of Sebring, Fla; and granddaughter, Charly Anderson, of Kentucky; sister, Barbara (Ken) Keuntjes, of Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law, Martha (Tom) Cash, of Madison; brother-in-law, Nick (Barb) Kleitgen, of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Edward Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Roy Perslee; granddaughter, Cayla Danley; and in-laws, Nick and Bea Kleitgen, Pittsville.
