Erna F. Berglin, 91, formerly of the town of Belle Plaine, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Maple Ridge Nursing Home in Green Bay.
Erna was born April 22, 1923, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Gustav and Huldina (Mielke) Raasch. She lived and farmed in the town of Belle Plaine for many years. She is a former member of St. James Lutheran Church and recently a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Green Bay. In her later years, Erna worked as a volunteer doing care with the elderly.
Erna is survived by her children, Karl (Joji) Berglin, of Green Bay, and Mary (Greg) Habeck, of De Pere, five grandchildren, Jill (Jeff) Shaver, Mike (Shannon) Berglin, David Marohl, Luke Berglin and Natalie (Cole) Van Roy. She is further survived by four great-grandchildren, Amberly Summ, Nyia Marohl, Mollie Shaver and Ezra Berglin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services for Erna will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Pastor Scott Malme will officiate. Interment will be follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service until the hour of service.
