Mary L. Thyssen, 84, Minocqua, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born in De Pere on March 18, 1930, to the late Michael and Luella (Miller) Houle.
Mary married Edward Thyssen in 1949. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1991. She was loved by many because of her kind and gentle soul. Mary had a deep love for children and flower gardening. She loved wildlife and her many pets. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Debby Thyssen, Sandy Slade, Linda “Pepper” Ebert, Vicki Kmiecik and Patti Brown; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Thyssen; infant son, Edward Michael; sister, Mildred Houle; brother, Carl Houle.
Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. There will be a family service at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
