Norman Corn

Norman “Billy” Corn, 81, of South Branch passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born Jan. 1, 1933, to the late Gust and Elizabeth (Puckiew) Corn. Norman married Christine Blau on Oct. 3, 1970. He owned his own business called Norm’s Roofing and Siding, where he was a carpenter working on roofing, siding and building houses. Norman loved being outdoors, fishing, cutting wood and being in the woods. Survivors include his wife, Christine Corn; 10 children, Laurie (Irvin) Miller, of Gillett, Sherry Lachepelle, of Shawano, Norman Corn Jr., of South Branch, Twila (Todd) Pecore, of Shawano, Roger (Janella) Corn, of Neopit, Tammy (Donnell) Corn, of South Branch, Valerie (Reynold) Katchenago, of Neopit, Dean (Linda) Corn, of South Branch, Alison Corn, of South Branch, and Samantha (Arnold) Corn, of South Branch; siblings, Gloria Miller, June Corn, Jimmy (Clare) Corn, Donald (Diane) Corn, all of the South Branch and Keshena area; 33 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Gust Corn; a son, David Corn; and a brother and sister. Visitation was held at Billy’s house in South Branch, N5630 Gus Corn Road, (715-799-3205) starting on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at 1 p.m., with a prayer vigil held at the house on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Billy will be interred in St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery in South Branch. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family.
