BOYS BASKETBALL Shawano 54 Menasha 42 Late free throws allowed Shawano to pull away in a Bay Conference battle at home Tuesday night. The Hawks (5-6, 4-1 Bay) were 22 of 29 from the charity stripe. Cole Nelson led the Hawks with 17 points. Zeke Gueths posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Adam Bartz added 8 points and four assists. Menasha moved to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in conference play. GIRLS BASKETBALL Bonduel 76 Sturgeon Bay 31 Hayley Sorenson, Emily Sorenson and Taylor Weier each scored 14 points in Bonduel’s road victory Tuesday. Emily Sorenson also added seven rebounds and five assists. Danee Collier recorded five assists as well for Bonduel (7-5, 2-3 Central Wisconsin Conference-8). Sturgeon Bay moved to 1-11 overall, 1-6 in the Packerland Conference. Gresham 46 Sevastopol 32 Sydney Jensen scored just 8 points but added 15 rebounds in Gresham’s home victory Tuesday night. Makena Arndt added 11 points, and Taylor Hoffman scored 9 points. Mackenzie Hoffman filled the stat sheet with her 7 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and six assists. Senior center River Otradovec added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (3-7, 1-5 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Sevastopol (3-8, 0-7 Packerland) was led by Adeline Nelson’s 8 points. HOCKEY Shawano 6 Fox Cities 3 Nick Boardman scored two first-period goals and Blake Stoss added two third-period goals to help Shawano secure a home victory Tuesday night. Bryce Gagnow and Matt Strand also scored for Shawano (3-8). Brendan Chapman-Jacobs recorded 22 saves.
