Marlene J. Kroenke, 75, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2016, in Green Bay surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene was born July 21, 1940. in Marion, daughter of the late Reinhold and Irma (Conradt) Lindow. She attended country schools and later Marion High School, graduating in 1958. Following school she worked at the Hansen Glove Factory for several months. On Nov. 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Larry L. Kroenke at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hermansfort. The couple lived and farmed in the town of Richmond their entire married life. She was a good and faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill.
Marlene served with the St. Paul Ladies Aid and also taught Sunday school for many years. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, canning, and farming.
Survivors include three children, Diane (Timothy Sr.) Chartrand, of Pulaski, Nancy (Anthony) Berg, of the town of Belle Plaine, and Jeff (Mary) Kroenke, of the town of Richmond; nine grandchildren, Julia (Cory) Lasecki, Stephanie Chartrand, Timothy (Jessica) Chartrand Jr., Thomas Chartrand, Sara (Shaun) Gartner, Heather (Josh) Effenberger, Keegan Kroenke, Kevin Kroenke and Ryan Kroenke; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Gartner, Emma Effenberger, Benjamin Gartner, Lucy Lasecki and Levi Effenberger; and a brother-in-law, Louis Beilfuss.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Beilfuss; and a niece, Donna Wenstadt.
Funeral services for Marlene Kroenke will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill. Pastor John Eyer will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at Mickelson Funeral & Cremation Service on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
