Delores Junco

Delores Junco, 92, Oconto Falls, died Thursday evening, July 3, 2014, at the Jack and Engrid Meng residence in De Pere. She was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Murray, Iowa, to Charles and Pearl (Daughertee) Lee. As a little girl, Delores moved with her family to the town of Morgan. On May 26, 1941, she married Greg Junco in Crandon. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee for a short time before moving back to the Oconto Falls area. Delores once worked part time at the local True Value hardware store. She was a member of the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church. Delores will be lovingly remembered for the devotion she gave her family, being a great cook and the enjoyment she received playing Bingo. Survivors are her two children, Larry (Betty) Junco, Tucson, Arizona, and Linda (James) Sternitzky, Banning, California; five grandchildren, Michel (Aaron) Toboyek, Kelly (Rod) Lohrentz, Robert, Bryan and Brad Fagan; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mayfred Lotter, Oconto Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Greg, in 2005; five brothers, Bob, Forrest, Charlie, Leslie and Raymond Lee; a stepsister, Edith; and grandson, Matthew Magnin. Visitation with the urn present will be held after 9 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of the service. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Diane Fite officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church.
