Suring sophomore quarterback John Christensen threw two touchdowns to receiver Mark Runge on Saturday.
Christensen completed 12 of 23 pass attempts for 177 yards. He also threw two interceptions. Runge had five catches for 101 yards.
Creo VanBellinger had 22 carries for 77 yards with two touchdowns for Suring (2-2, 2-0 Marinette and Oconto Conference).
Suring held the Wolverines (0-4, 0-2 Northern Lakes) scoreless until Chris Schewe connected with Camron Fredericks on a 23-yard score in the fourth.

Oconto Falls fourth at conference match
Brittany Russell placed fifth to carry Oconto Falls to fourth place at a Bay Conference match Thursday at Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere. The junior shot a 45 on the par-35 course and finished one stroke out of third.
Marinette placed first with a 187 and three-stroke edge on Denmark.

Russell in top 10 at invitational
Brittany Russell took sixth at the Oconto Falls Invitational on Sept. 8 at River Island Golf Course.
The Panthers finished sixth among the seven teams. Marinette won with a 364, 65 strokes better than second-place Bonduel.
Also competing for the Panthers were Julie Moore (109), Bridget Gorman (113), Liz Coopman and Brenna Jaeger (126).

Gillett 1
Jessica Anderson led the Tigers’ charge by accumulating 12 of the team’s 19 assists at Wausaukee on Sept. 10. Anderson also had six of Gillett’s 17 services aces and also contributed seven digs.
After dropping the opening set 25-23, Gillett pulled even with a 26-24 win in the second set. But Wausaukee swept the next two games, 25-21 and 25-15.
For Gillett, Taylor Kohls recorded two blocks, six digs, five kills and one service ace. Victoria Loberger had the most digs with 11, and also seven spikes and two service aces. Maddy Wilbur had 10 digs and three assists. Maya Breed had four spikes, three service aces, one assist and eight digs.

Niagara/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy stopped Suring 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 Thursday.
Brooke Gauthier led Suring with 11 spikes and also had seven service aces and two digs. Breanna Tienor had 16 assists, seven aces, one spike and one dig. Courtney Heimerl produced 12 assists, seven digs and three service aces. Makenzie LaMarre led the Eagles with 16 digs and also had two service aces. Katie Stegemanhad eight spikes and one block. Az VanBellinger contributed eight digs and four spikes.

Gillett Secondary School spread the ball around but could not capture a victory against Peshtigo (25-11, 25-19, 25-21) at the Coleman triangular Thursday.
Jessica Anderson produced eight assists and seven digs, along with two spikes and a block for Gillett. Taylor Kohls had five spikes, one assist and two digs. Maddy Wilbur had six digs, two assists and two spikes.

Victoria Loberger produced 15 digs and five spikes for Gillett Secondary School against triangular host Coleman on Thursday, but the Tigers lost in three straight matches (25-18, 25-13, 25-14).
Also for Gillett, Erin Balthazor had seven digs and one spike; Maddy Wilbur, eight assists and two spikes, Taylor Kohls, six digs, one assist and three spikes.
