A sentencing hearing was held for William J. Longsine, 49, Lena. He pleaded no contest to two charges of manufacturing and delivering amphetamine and possessing methamphetamine and precursors, which occurred June 25 in Lena. On the charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, he was sentenced to eight years incarceration and eight years extended supervision. On the charge of possession of materials for manufacturing methamphetamine, he was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision, to run concurrent to the other sentence. The conditions of the extended supervision are no contact with others involved in the case, complete and follow alcohol and other drug abuse treatment, maintain full-time employment and maintain absolute sobriety. Charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine waste, possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine and maintain a drug trafficking place were read in and dismissed by the court.
A preliminary hearing was held for Kimberly A. Spice, 36, Abrams, on a felony charge of misappropriating ID information to obtain money and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred Jan. 2 in Abrams. A $1,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Feb. 12.
A preliminary hearing was held for Brett A. Harvey, 19, Oconto, on felony charges of possession of THC (second offense) and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred Dec. 15 in Oconto. A $2,500 signature bond continues. An arraignment is Feb. 12.
An initial appearance was held for Lashawn D. Campbell, 22, Oconto, on felony charges of second degree reckless endangering safety, domestic abuse, and two misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred Jan. 27 in Oconto. The court set a $5,000 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is Feb. 12.
Proceedings from Jan. 23
An arraignment was held for Jesse A. Kropp, 28, Wausau. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of knowingly operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license (causing death) and homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, which allegedly occurred Aug. 3 in Townsend. A $5,000 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is March 20.
A preliminary hearing/adjourned initial appearance was held for Kelly P. Grzybowski, 19, Lena, on two federal charges of theft of movable property special facts, party to a crime, which allegedly occurred Nov. 23 in the town of Oconto. A $10,000 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is March 12.
A preliminary hearing was held for Raul V. Saldana, 64, Pound, on felony charges of manufacturing/delivering cocaine, party to a crime, which allegedly occurred July 18 in Oconto. A $5,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Feb. 12.
Proceedings from Jan. 28
A sentencing hearing was held for Cody R. Ludwig, 22, Lena, on a felony charge of fleeing and eluding an officer, which occurred July 13 in Oconto. A sentence of three years of incarceration was withheld. He was sentenced to 100 days in jail, with Huber privileges. He must pay court costs and fees of $518. His driver’s licence is revoked for six months, and he has six demerit points. He must have no contact with the victim, provide a DNA sample and maintain absolute sobriety. He must complete any assessments required by the Department of Corrections and follow all recommendations and aftercare. A misdemeanor charge was read in by the court and dismissed.
A sentencing hearing was held for Dustin S. Elliott, 19, Pound, who pleaded guilty to six of 17 felony charges of burglary of a building or dwelling as party to a crime. The court read in and dismissed the other nine counts and all of the theft-movable property (special facts) as party to a crime (six counts) and 29 misdemeanor charges. The offenses occurred from Jan. 1 to March 8, 2014, in the towns of Riverview and Mountain. On two counts of burglary, he was sentenced to five years incarceration and five years extended supervision. On three counts of burglary, he was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision to run concurrent to the previous sentence. Another count was dismissed. He must pay restitution of $19,782.45 while incarcerated. He is to have no contact with the victims or others involved in the case, complete and follow all alcohol and other drug abuse treatment and aftercare, even after release, maintain absolute sobriety and pay court costs and fees of $528.
