Staff turnover will be discussed by the Oconto Falls School Board at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, in the district office conference room, 210 N. Farm Road.
The board will consider the retirement or resignation requests of Joanna Gross, teacher at Abrams Elementary; Marsha Mellen, district librarian; Bret Iverson, agriculture teacher at Washington Middle School; and Cathy Ehlert, guidance counselor at Abrams Elementary; and the hire of Hannah Zidon, high school Spanish teacher.
Board members will discuss whether to fill vacancies in the areas of math/reading interventionist, high school Spanish teacher, elementary librarian specialist, middle school agriculture teacher and Abrams guidance counselor. The School Board will also consider adding a fifth-grade position at Abrams Elementary and a computer technical support position.
Budget issues include the suspension of implementing one-to-one technology and a revenue-limit exemption for energy savings on principal and interest payments.
Updates are planned regarding spring sports, the CESA 8 annual meeting, summer school, the referendum project, building trades class open house, graduation, superintendent transition and the sale of Spruce School.
The board is scheduled to withdraw from the Local Government Property Insurance Fund for the 2015-2016 year and renew its Wisconsin Educators Risk Management Cooperative agreement.
Also on the agenda are employee compensation, the 2015-2016 high school student handbook, the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) contract, bids for property and liability insurance, bus financing proposals and final budget adjustments for the 2014-2015 school year.
The board will meet in executive session to discuss employee compensation and consider an employee complaint.
