Oconto Falls starting pitcher Evan Sigmund struck out eight, issued one walk and allowed one earned run on six hits through seven innings Friday.
Connor Sefcik relieved Sigmund following the seventh. He pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit. Sefcik also batted 2 for 4 with two runs scored.
No. 9 hitter Joey Wolford was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Mike Manns knocked in two runs. Brett Ash was 2 for 4 in his first game back from injury.
Oconto Falls improved to 10-5 and 5-2 in the Fox River Valley-North.

Every Oconto Falls hitter scored at least two runs as the team pounded out 24 hits July 8 in a rout of host White Lake.
Leadoff hitter Sam Shroyer knocked in five of Oconto Falls’ runs. He hit a home run, was 3 for 5 and scored two runs. Mike Manns (4 for 5, 2 RBIs) and Hunter Magnin (3 for 4, 2 RBIs) each scored three runs. Evan Sigmund (3 for 6, double, RBI), Riley Gruetzmacher (2 for 4, 3 RBIs), Wesley Brabant (4 for 4, RBI), Dalton Curl (1 for 3, RBI), Connor Sefcik (2 for 4, RBI) all scored two runs.
Winning pitcher Bryce Ash went five innings, allowed eight hits, struck out five and walked two. He also contributed at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Wesley Brabant hurled a five-inning no-hitter in Game 2 of a doubleheader July 8 at White Lake.
Brabant, who struck out four and walked four, also went 1 for 2 with two runs scored. Connor Sefcik was 1 for 2 with four RBIs. Mike Manns went 2 for 3, including a double, and scored two runs.

Riley Gruetzmacher struck out eight hitters and allowed two hits July 7 at Marinette. He went six innings and did not issue a walk.
Marinette scored the game’s only runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Marinette pitcher Matt Osterberg struck out 11 hitters, walked two and gave up six hits.
Connor Sefcik was 2 for 2 for Oconto Falls.

Oconto Falls’ seven-run fifth inning was not enough to win July 6 at Kewaunee.
Oconto Falls led 10-6 before Kewaunee County took control with 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Leading Falls’ offense were Riley Gruetzmacher (2 for 3, three runs, RBI), Wes Brabant (2 for 4, run, RBI) and Dalton Curl (2 for 3, two runs). All but one Falls hitter knocked in a run.
Evan Sigmund took the loss. He pitched 3 2/3 innings, struck out six, walked four and allowed five runs on five hits.
