Proceedings from Jan. 12
A sentencing hearing was held for Brian M. Madson, 30, Oconto, on two felony charges of theft movable property, greater than $10,000, party to a crime, and theft of movable property, special facts, party to a crime, which occurred Jan. 1 and March 31 in Oconto. On count one, he was sentenced to two years, six months incarceration and five years extended supervision, with conditions. He must obtain and maintain full-time employment, successfully complete Compass assessments, alcohol and drug assessments, counseling, treatment and follow-up care, maintain absolute sobriety and have no contact with any known drug dealers. He must pay restitution of $16,786.27. The court dismissed the second count of theft of movable property.
An arraignment was held for Joseph J. Brandt, 35, Lena. He stood mute on felony charges of second-degree sexual assault with use of force, two counts, false imprisonment and two misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred Dec. 13 in the town of Lena. A $25,000 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is Feb. 11.
