One injured during shots fired incident at Memorial Park

One person was injured after the Pulaski Police Department had to respond to a call about shots fired on July 18. Officers responded around 10:38 p.m. to a call at Memorial Park, 651 S. St. Augustine St., Pulaski, about shots being fired with at least one person being injured, one person being armed with a knife, and others fighting, according to Police Chief Kurt Kitzman. When officers arrived, an 18-year-old man from Green Bay was arrested, while another 18-year-old man from Pulaski was assisted for suffering a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital in Green Bay for non-life-threatening injuries. The police department received assistance from NEW Paramedic Rescue, Brown County Sheriff’s Deaprtment and Brown County Rescue Office. The investigation continues into the incident. According to Kitzman, preliminary information indicates the event was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public. Pulaski Polka Days was taking place at the time of the incident, but the polka grounds is on the other side of the village. Kitzman said no further details were being released.
