Marcia Diane Wagner passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
She was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Oconto Falls to the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Marion Wagner of Gillett. She was a 1965 graduate of Gillett High School. She also graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a “home ec” degree, or what is today called a bachelor of science in family and consumer sciences education (FCSE).
She resided in Oconto Falls upon her retirement after being employed as a teacher at Wausaukee High School for over 35 years, displaying remarkable dedication to her students and profession. Marcia tended to be outgoing socially with a wry wit, enjoying travel and being with friends. Her biggest passion, though, was her teaching profession to which she gave much energy in being creative and supportive to all in and out of the classroom. She also was a committed member of her beloved Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Suring.
Marcia was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. She is survived by a sister, Jill (David) Bowers of Marion; nephew, Tim Bowers; niece, Beth Bowers; and many cousins.
Family, friends and others are invited gather after 9 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, 11005 County Road M, Suring, until the time of service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Beth Macha officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Gillett.
