Bonduel fell behind 3-1 after two innings but kept plugging away and took the lead at 4-3 after five. The Bears would go on to win 7-4.
The Chiefs tied it at 4-4 in the sixth on a single by Henry Garvey.
Jack Zernicke singled to start the seventh for Bonduel and advanced to third on a bunt hit by Cade Johnson. After stealing second, Johnson and Zernicke both scored on a ground ball by Race Anvelink that was thrown away at first for an error. Joe Felhofer then grounded out to score Anvelink for the final run.
Shiocton tried to mount a comeback but was denied when Brooks Hartlaben struck out Blake Carton to end the game.
Johnson and Anvelink had two hits and two stolen bases each. Kody Schroeder chipped in two hits in the 10-hit attack. Bonduel also stole six bases. Anvelink and Joe Felhofer had two RBIs each.
Jackson Young had two hits for Shiocton. Anvelink earned the win with one-out relief help from Hartlaben.

Cade Johnson and Hunter Heinemeyer locked into a pitchers’ duel that ended in a 7-6 win for the Bonduel over Shiocton.
The two teams faced off in a Sunday night game at Neuroscience Field, the home of the Timber Rattlers.
The Bears scored a single run in the second, but Shiocton went ahead 2-1 in the fourth on a two-run triple by Braylon Krull. The Bears tied the game on an Aiden Hillsberg single only to have Shiocton take the lead on a Cody Young single.
Bonduel broke it open in the sixth with hits with Hillsberg, Jack Zernicke and Race Anvelink all scoring runs. The Bears also scored on a passed ball.
Shiocton wasn’t done, though, and scored three in the seventh on a hit by Isaiah Carton and a groundout by Hunter Heinemeyer. However, they left a runner stranded at third when Anvelink struck out Sawyer Young to end the game.
Hillsberg, Mason Zuleger and Zernicke had two hits each, and Hillsberg added two RBIs to lead the Bears. Cody Young and Braylon Krull had two hits apiece for the Chiefs.
Johnson earned the win as he pitched six innings, allowed five hits and five runs, walked three and struck out 10. Anvelink had the save.
