The Panthers won both ends of a doubleheader, 11-1 and 14-0.
In the first game, Chase Carriveau hit 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Wyatt Laughrin was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs, while Carter Heroux hit 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Heroux was the winning pitcher. In five innings, he gave up three hits, walked three and struck out eight.
In the shutout win, Trace Brehmer hit 4-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
Easton Engel hit 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Laughrin was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Also, Hunter Bozile hit 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
Brehmer was the winning pitcher. In two innings, he walked two and struck out three.
Pacelli 8, Bonduel 7
Bonduel lost to Pacelli 8-7 in a sloppy defensive game for both teams.
The game went back and forth as both teams hit the ball and in turn didn’t field the ball well. The Bears then scored two in the seventh to tie the game on a hit by Kody Schroeder.
Kolten Opper led off the seventh for the Cardinals with a double to right center. After two batters were retired, Malise Beduhn reached on an error to score the winning run.
Brooks Hartlaben took the loss in relief of Mason Zuleger.
Beckett Hartlaben had two hits including a double and two RBIs. Kody Schroeder had two hits and two RBIs.
With the loss, Bonduel drops to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in CWC East.
