• Nicole A. Kaquatosh, 41, Shawano, pleaded no contest March 31 to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense). Judge Katherine Sloma levied fines and sentenced her to five days in county jail.
• Maria A. Webster, 31, Keshena, pleaded no contest April 1 to possession of narcotic drugs. Sloma withheld sentencing and placed her on three years of probation with conditions.
• A jury Oct. 9 found Armando Valencia, 42, Shawano, guilty of first-degree child sexual assault, repeated sexual assault of the same child, causing a child under age 13 to view or listen to a sex act and a misdemeanor count of bail jumping. On April 4, Judge William Kussel Jr. sentenced Valencia to 60 years in state prison, followed by 18 years of extended supervision with conditions.
• Jared J. Lane, 30, Shawano, pleaded no contest April 1 to substantial battery intending bodily harm, false imprisonment and possession of methamphetamine. Judge Michael Moran withheld sentencing and placed him on four years of probation with conditions.
• Darcy A. Spruce, 43, Shawano, was charged March 31 with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, substantial battery intending bodily harm, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer. Sloma set a $2,500 signature bond and scheduled a status conference for May 27.
• Nicole Lee Bessert, 31, Mattoon, was charged March 31 with possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Sloma set a $250 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for May 12.
• Rupert L. Welch, 34, Bowler, was charged March 31 with possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Sloma set a $2,500 signature bond and scheduled a status conference for May 27.
• Amber L. Burke, 34, Shawano, appeared April 1 on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver amphetamine, manufacturing with intent to deliver heroin, possession of narcotic drugs and six counts of felony bail jumping. With bond set at $50,000 cash, Sloma scheduled a status conference for April 29.
• Avion A. Aleman, 19, Shawano, was charged April 2 with felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. Sloma set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for May 20.
• Justin M. Wilber, 34, Keshena, was charged April 2 with possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and four counts of felony bail jumping. Sloma set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for May 20.
• Kia J. Gaston, 19, Schofield, was charged April 4 with four counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (second offense), operating while revoked and resisting or obstructing an officer. Sloma set a $1,000 cash bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for April 14.
• Wade A. Waupoose, 59, Shawano, was charged April 4 with felony bail jumping. Sloma set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for May 6.
• Alexandria M. Sturdevant, 33, Keshena, was charged April 4 with possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass to a dwelling, disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer. Sloma set a $2,500 signature bond and scheduled a status conference for May 19.
