Tomahawk 80, Shawano/Seymour 67
Tomahawk had just enough in the tank to pull out an 80-67 win over Shawano/Seymour’s boys swim team.
“It was a close meet,” coach Sarah Tracy said. “Great swims by both teams.”
The event began with the 200-yard medley relay with Shawano/Seymour’s Liam Laude, Marcus Biagini, Cole Beyer and Gage Roberts placing third in 2:28.97.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Jonah Kuba won in 2:00.82, followed by Nicholas Auchue in third in 2:34.18 and Garrett Young in fourth in 2L40.69.
Laude won the 200-yard individual medley in 3:06.20, with Beyer in second in 3:27.23.
Shawano/Seymour took the bottom three spots in the 50-yard freestyle. James Lange was fourth in 27.71, followed by Brendon Riehl in fifth in 28.14 and Roberts in sixth in 33.92.
Riehl finished in third in the 100-yard freestyle. Lange was fourth in 1:04.33, and Biagini was sixth in 1:12.20.
Kuba won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:32.12, and Young was second in 7:24.00.
The team of Auchue, Riehl, Lange and Kuba won the 200-yard relay in 1:48.90, while the team of Beyer, Biagini, Roberts and Young placed fourth in 2:11.30.
Auchue was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:15.95, and Laude was third in 1:16.68.
Biagini finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:30.72, while Beyer placed third in 1:32.85.
In the final event, the 400-yard relay, the team of Riehl, Auchue, Lange one Kuba were second in 4:11.21.

Jaguar Invite
Pulaski placed seventh and Shawano/Seymour finished 12th out of 15 teams at the Ashwaubenon Jaguars Invite.
Pulaski’s Patrick Reynolds, William Gosse, Jace Olson and Carter Grasse placed eighth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:49.43.
Bartolo Lara, Pulaski, finished in 10th in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.65. Shawano/Seymour’s Jonah Kuba was 13th in 2:00.47, Gosse was 18th in 2:07.37, Pulaski’s Gage Derusha was 26th in 2:20.38,Pulaski’s Oscar Delmarcelle was 28th in 2:30.03, Shawano/Seymour’s Nicholas Auchue placed 29th in 2:32.72, and Shawano/Seymour’s Garrett Young was 32nd in 2:41.01.
In the 200-yard individual medley, it was Reynolds in 15th in 2:20.80 and Shawano/Seymour’s Liam Laude in 23rd in 3:12.86.
Placing in the 50-yard freestyle were Pulaski’s Olson in eighth in 23.92, Conrad Kreutzberg in 10th in 24.38 and Grasse in 13th in 24.65. Also competing were Thomas Glinski, Pulaski, 29th, 26.87; Landyn Kroll, Pulaski, 32nd, 27.27; Kael Pierquet, Pulaski, 38th, 29.01; Tanner Allen, Pulaski, 43rd, 29.77; Jaxson Hermann, Pulaski, 45th, 30.11; Cole Beyer, Shawano/Seymour, 52nd, 34.52; and Gage Roberts, Shawano/Seymour, 53rd, 35.59.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Olson finished in seventh place in 52.45, Grasse was 11th in 54.62, Kreutzberg finished 16th in 57.62, Glinski was 20th in 59.22, Kroll placed 27th in 104.09, Shawano/Seymour’s Brendon Riehl was 29th in 1:04.58, Shawano/Seymour’s James Lange was 35th in 1:06.40, Tanner was 38th in 1:07.22, Hermann placed 39th in 1:08.04, Marcus Biagini of Shawano/Seymour finished 45th in 1:13.01, and Shawano/Seymour’s Gage Roberts was 48th in 1:25.55.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Lara was eighth in 5:18.12, Kuba was 12th in 5:34.40, Derusha finished 17th in 5:59.71, and Young was 21st in 7:26.71.
Placing in the 200-yard freestyle relay were Kreutzberg, Glinski, Kroll and Lara in seventh in 1:40.77. Auchue, Riehl, Lange and Kuba were 13th in 1:50.23. Hermann, Pierquet, Delmarcelle and Derusha placed 15th in 1:51.92. Roberts, Beyer, Biagini and Young finished 21st in 2:14.64.
Reynolds placed 1oth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.20. Auchue was 23rd in 1:15.24, and Laude was 24th in 1:17.79.
Gosse finished in 19th place in 1:13.32 in the 100-yard breaststroke, Pierquet was 25th in 1:25.91, followed by Delmarcelle in 26th in 1:27.70. Biagini was 29th in 1:30.73, and Beyer placed 32nd in 1:38.20.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, it was Olson, Kreutzberg, Gosse and Grasse in 10th place in 3:39.75, and Kroll, Glinski, Lara and Reynolds in 12th in 3:53.46. Riehl, Lange, Biagini and Kuba placed 20th in 4:19.67, and Roberts, Laude, Young and Beyer were 22nd in 5:29.57.

Dual meets
Shawano/Seymour lost 130-35 to Rhinelander but defeated Medford 80-71. In the other dual, Rhinelander topped Medford 128-37.
Shawano/Seymour teams placed fourth and fifth in the 200-yard medley relay. Liam Laude, Dawson Maass, Jonah Kuba and Nate Hilbert were fourth in 2:14.36, while Gage Roberts, Marcus Biagini, Cole Beyer and Brendon Riehl were fifth in 2:51.03.
In the 200-yard freestyle, James Lange placed fourth in 2:31.46, followed by Nicholas Auchue in fifth in 2:40.69 and Garrett Young in sixth in 2:41.15.
Laude placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley in 3:13.08, and Beyer was fifth in 3:31.49.
In the 50-yard freestyle, it was Kuba in fourth in 25.41, Hilbert in sixth in 27.94 and Riehl in eighth in 29.56.
Kuba earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 55.15. Hilbert placed fifth in 1:06.84.
In the 500-yard freestyle, it was Lange in fifth place in 6:44.24, Young in sixth in 7:39.88 and Beyer in seventh in 8:18.05.
The foursome of Hilbert, Auchue, Lange and Kuba placed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:49.12. Biagini, Maass, Young and Riehl placed fifth in 2:07.59.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Auchue finished third in 1:20.18, Laude was fourth in 1:21.08, and Roberts was eighth in 2:00.62.
Maass finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:29.23.
Auchue, Riehl, Young and Lange placed fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
