Lena 58, Suring 39
Eva Brooks had a huge night for Lena as she led the Wildcats in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals as Lena beat Suring 58-39.
Brooks scored 21 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, was credited with six assists and had five steals.
Madilyn Thomson scored another 17 points, and Kali Fischer had 12.
Bunny Cramer led Suring with 18 points.
Lena nearly doubled up on Suring with a 29-14 first half, but things settled down after the break, but Lena still outscored Suring 29-25.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 63, Bonduel 40
In a battle of first-place teams, Wittenberg-Birnamwood remained unscathed with a 63-40 win over Bonduel.
Melaina Granquist led the Chargers with a double double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Rory Salvesen scored 14 points, and seven other teammates also scored.
Salvesen led the team with five assists. With three steals each were Salvesen, Brie Ladika and Harper Rogowski.
“We played great team defense, and everyone got involved on the offensive end,” Chargers coach Nick Mechelke said. “I was very pleased with the effort we put out on the court tonight.”
The Chargers are 12-0 overall, 6-0 in the Central Wisconsin East Conference. Bonduel is 11-4 and 6-1, respectively.
Gresham 74, Bowler 35
Gresham mauled Bowler 74-35 in a Central Wisconsin North Conference game.
Leading the Wildcats were Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes with 18 points, Janay Pecore-Kirkland with 16 and Grade Haffner with 14.
Pecore-Kirkland pulled down 15 rebounds. Baddmoccosin-Barnes recorded six assists and eight steals.
Menominee Nation 57, Manawa 47
Urijih Reevis scored 15 points to lead Menominee Nation to a 57-47 win over Manawa.
Natalie Peters paced the Eagles with nine rebounds, and Reevis had another eight. Peters led with six assists, and Reevis had four. Peters again set the pace with six steals, as Anisa Waupoose and Lena Waukau each contributed four.
Manitowoc Lincoln 40, Pulaski 29
Seven Red Raiders found the scoreboard in the team’s 40-29 loss to Manitowoc Lincoln, but none had more than six points.
Lily Urben and Olivia Sprangers each scored six points.
