Shawano shut down New London with stellar man-to-man defense, winning 56-29.
“(A) total team effort led to the decisive victory,” coach Ryan Koenig said.
The Hawks improved to 8-3.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 61, Crandon 50
Both teams shot the ball well, but the Chargers emerged victorious with a 61-50 win.
“Crandon played very well against our defense, and they handled our pressure well,” Wittenberg-Birnamwood coach Nick Mechelke said. “The duo of Rory (Salvesen) and Melaina (Granquist) played very well tonight and carried us offensively.”
Granquist led the Chargers with 23 points, and Salvesen scored 21. Each had three 3-pointers, and Salvesen also had six free throws.
Granquist and Faith Resch each had six rebounds.
Bonduel 57, Stratford 52
Audrey Weier scored 14 points, and Cierra Schnell added 12 as the Bears maintained their five-point halftime lead to win 57-52.
Menominee Nation 59, Gresham 26
Urijah Reevis led the Eagles with 17 points, and Anisa Waupoose added 11 as Menominee Nation defeated Gresham 59-26.
Coleman 47, Gillett 40
Coleman pulled away in the second half en route to a 47-40 win over Gillett.
Cilena Guns led Gillett with 17 points.
Lena 87, Wausaukee 16
Lena’s defense kept Wausaukee to single digits in each half, while the offense saw four players score in double digits in a an 87-16 win.
Kaelyn Cook led the Wildcats with 19 points, followed by Madilyn Thomson with 14, Eva Brooks with 12 and Kali Fischer with 11.
