Marshfield Tiger Invite
Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s girls cross-country team won first place in the small division and second place overall at the Marshfield Tiger Invite. The girls scored 90 points.
The boys team was 12th with 332 points.
Rory Salvesen led the girls with a second-place finish in 20:38.
Nora Bushman placed seventh in 21:10, while Harper Krull was ninth in 21:22.
Gabrielle Timm was 30th in 23:19, and Jayden Zeinert finished 50th in 24:36.
Landon Meronk led the boys in 57th place in 20:43.
He was followed by Jonas Bushman in 71st in 21:08; Hayden Miller, 74th, 21:16; Milo Salvesen, 81st, 21:47; Dalton Fletcher, 90th, 22:33; and Marty Nowinsky, 91st, 22:41.
Manawa/Symco Invitational
Menominee Nation runners captured first place in both the boys and girls events at the Symco Thresheree Grounds in Manawa.
The boys captured the top three spots and four of the top seven, while two girls placed in the top 10.
Ryan Corn won the boys event in 18:39.2. He was followed by Bryan Waupoose III in second in 18:40.3, just 1.1 seconds off the lead. Third place went to Barron Waupoose in 18:56.3.
Jason Chapman placed seventh in 53:7.
Another trio of Eagles placed 14th, 15th and 16th.
Francis Delabrau led this contingent with a time of 20:31.6. He was followed by Michael Peters in 20:38.8 and Quinn Olson in 20:44.7.
Cashius Reevis finished in 20th place in 21:42.8. Cody Peters placed 28th in 23:30.
Marion’s Tristan Herro was 29th in 24:37.2.
Gresham’s Mason Martin finished 30th in 25:53.9.
Urijah Reevis captured first place for the girls in 22:51.7.
Teammate Ava Pettibone placed 10th in 26:31.2. Anisa Peters finished in 17th in 27:52.5.
Bella Conover of Marion placed 24th in 28:46.3. Teammate Bridget Much placed 29th in 30:20.2.
Algoma
Aspynn Anderson led the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas girls runners with an eighth-place finish at Peterson Park. Her time was 23:27.15.
Also placing in the top 10 was Adrena Rabas, 10th place, 23:37.62.
Madilyn Thomson was 15th in 15:28.12, and Miriam Alberts was 25th in 27:38.31.
Also running were Kali Fischer, 39th, 29:19.75; Haley VanArk, 42nd, 29:42.31; and Hannah Thomson, 43rd, 29:3.09.
The boys were led by Mason Belongia, who placed 11th in 19:32.34.
Belongia was joined by Erik Kosch, 16th, 20:46.78; Dash Comins, 21:59.56; and Dane Comins, 36th, 22:19.31.
Violet Buchholz of Wolf River Lutheran in Shawano finished 14th in 25:19.5. Ryan Drengler was 34th in 22:16.09.
