Donna M. (Bergmann) Druckrey, 84, Suring, passed away peacefully with her family’s continual support at St. Mary’s Hospital early on Feb. 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was reunited with her loving husband who passed away on Oct. 6, 1991.
She was born on July 10, 1938, to the late Nicholas and Pearl (Lambrecht) Bergmann in the Town of Underhill. She graduated from Gillett High School. Donna married James Druckrey on Feb. 9, 1957, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay. She then resided in Green Bay while raising her family and helping manage the family home construction business (Nelson and Druckrey Construction, Druckrey Construction, Frontier Log Homes). In 1983, Donna and James moved to Suring.
Donna was a loving, generous, kind, compassionate, and strong person who never spoke a bad word about others. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her continuous love, abundant generosity, and home were extended to many family members and friends.
Donna loved watching and supporting her children in sporting events, playing cards, board games, and teaching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how to cook and bake all her favorite recipes. Holidays and birthdays were family gatherings at Donna’s home filled with laughter, joy, stories, games and feasts.
In her spare time, she also was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Packers games, traveled, bowled, gardened and canned, spent time at the family cottage, and took part in card club with family and friends. Donna truly believed in God and was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay and later at Christ Lutheran Church-Hintz.
Donna is survived by her five children, Steve (Linda), Cindy (James) Winkler, Mike (Lori), Linda (James) Hischke and Sue (Steve) Perz; 15 grandchildren, Ben, Brittany (Matt) Benson, Brennan, Jesse (Sarah) Winkler, Abby Winkler, Sara (Jessica) Winkler, Amanda (Chad) Whisman, Andrew (Samantha), Allen, Jocelyn (Jonathan) Dunks, Molly (Ted Deere) Hischke, Tyler (Lauren) Hischke, Kelsey Hischke, Tara (Brad) Stegmann and Stefanie (Chad) Nelson; 18 great-grandchildren, Carter, Elliot, Avery, Madelaine, Indie, Owen, McKinley, Teagan, Rilyn, Ari, Kenley, Montgomery, Logan, Natalie, Waylon, Ashton, Braelee and Hazel; brothers-in-law, Clyde Druckrey, Randy (Karen) Druckrey and Keith (Sherry) Druckrey; sisters-in-law, Leona Bergmann, Ruth (Francis) Theys, Karen (Steve Schmidt) Page, Karla (Jeff) Miller and Kandice (Jeff) Bero.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, David; brothers, Kenneth Bergmann and John Bergmann; her in-laws, Wilbert and Clara Druckrey; brother-in-law, Rod Druckrey; and sisters-in-law, Darlene Bergmann, Mary Ann Druckrey and Sandra LaRock.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church-Hintz, 6905 Red Banks Road, Gillett, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating. Donna will be interred at Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
