Kevin A. Griepentrog

Kevin A. Griepentrog, 25, of Tigerton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, from injuries sustained in a recycling truck accident in the town of Freedom, Outagamie County. Kevin Alan Griepentrog was born on July 2, 1989, in Austin, Texas, to Kevin and Sherri (Wolff) Griepentrog. He was raised in Tigerton and graduated from Tigerton High School in 2007. Kevin went on to the University of Wisconsin-Superior and spent his first two years in the Air Force ROTC program. and he later received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. For the past seven years, he worked for Harter’s Fox Valley Disposal of Wittenberg either part-time or full-time. Kevin was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. He enjoyed go-cart racing, downhill skiing and traveling, especially his trips to Hawaii and Australia. In high school, he played football, played the trumpet, and was on the track team, where he was a sprinter and a relay race runner. In college, Kevin continued as captain of the track team, volunteered on the student council, and served as president of Financial Management Association (FMA) at UW-Superior. He also helped coach football at Marshall Middle School in Duluth, Minnesota. Kevin was a caring person who will be remembered most as a devoted father, a loving son and a special grandson. Survivors include an infant son, Draiman; his mother, Sherri (Rob) Kubiaczyk, of Wittenberg; his father, Kevin Griepentrog, of Tigerton; one brother, William Griepentrog, of Tigerton; and his girlfriend, Kenzie Gilbertson, of Superior. Kevin is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Frederick (Jeanette “Peggy”) Wolff, of Wittenberg; his paternal grandmother, Joan (friend Tom Gauthier) Wilkinson, of Tigerton; and his paternal great-grandmother, Selma Griepentrog, of Tigerton. There are two godparents, Shelley Wilkinson, of Tigerton, and Sheila Wolff, of Shawano; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Truman Olson, and his paternal stepgrandfather, George Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. Pastor John Hielsberg will officiate, and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
