Jean M. Lamers, 74, of Shawano, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Appleton.
Jean was born Feb. 1, 1948, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Bernard and Rachel (Krause) Karcz. On Oct. 21, 1995, Jean was united in marriage to Edward Lamers in Shawano. She was employed as an accountant throughout her life. Jean was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family as well as boating.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ed Lamers, of Shawano; her children, Brad Schmidt, of Shawano, and Thomas (Erica) Schmidt, of Bothell, Washington; her grandchildren, Morgan, Jordyn, Shealee, Brennan, Brandon, Alex and Ruby; her great-grandsons, Andre and Ivorin; her sister, Linda Vandevoort, of Shawano; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, private family services will be held.
