Jane Barbara Pankow, 92, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, in Shawano. Born in Leopolis on Feb. 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James and Tillie (Pickas) Aschenbrenner.
On June 24, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harold R. Pankow. Jane worked numerous jobs throughout her life. She worked at canning factories, at Hotz Manufacturing, at Weber Veneer and Plywood, and as a waitress. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Jane was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.
Jane is survived by her granddaughter, Jodi Pankow, of Amherst Junction, and her sister-in-law, Carol Aschenbrenner, of Shawano, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jerry in infancy and David; her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Roy Rinehard officiating. Visitation was on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
